AVH: Automatic engine shut down (Swiss 773)

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

the Aviation Herald reports today that February 01 Swiss LX40 ZRH-LAX 773 suffered an automatic engine shut down and diverted to Frobisher Bay.

A 'Jetman' comments that only a double channel EEC failure or system feedback disagree can trigger the shut down.

1. Not being at home right now I have to check later on whether we can simulated the condition...

2. Would the same fault on the other engine leave the crew without thrust, or can this happen only on one side?
