Nose Cargo Not Opening

Hi Everyone, 
I have been trying to open the nose cargo bay to open in the MCDU >OPEN   without any luck,
Do i have to do something in order for it to open ? I.E overhead panel etc

From the Intro Manual (in the section of common things that will trip people up):

"When using a cargo variant, the nose and side cargo doors require that a power source be available, but not in use. As an example, if you are using APU power, GEN1 can be used for power, but GEN2 will need to be switched off (left AVAIL) in order for the doors to operate."
