METAR in FMS

I didn't realize until tonight while poking around that the FMS in the MJC Dash-8 would pull METARs.  Pretty cool.

Be aware the METAR/TAFS are being pulled  ONLY via a weather server and not from your weather add-on.

We simply pull the data from a weather server, I.E. NOAA.  Weather addon utilities I.e. Active Sky, etc are not being used to pull weather data.

Data is acquired via the UNILINK option on the Services page of the FMS

I tried this and it works well in FSX, however it will not work in P3D V3?. Is there a setting that I need to incorporate into P3D to make it work?

First off, great plane. I've flown several hundred hours in it now... and landed heavily nearly as many times.

Sorry to bring this back up again, but for me at least, UNILINK on the Data page is unselectable (smaller size than the selectable items). If I go to the FMC's Data page and hit Services, there's no UNILINK on that page. I too would have loved to have METAR in the FMC. I don't know if it works in real life.

What are the conditions for getting that UNILINK to work?
