Different tweaks

Recommended Posts

TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=?

I've seen different numbers all over the internet but I could never find what it does exactly? Something to do with texture loading but I don't get the whole picture.

FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=?

As I could understand how lower the number, how higher the frames and lower texture loading, correct?

I hate blurred textures so maybe better not to tweak it?

I was hoping you guys could give me some tips how to make my fsx even better.

I now use:

Highmemfix, Affinitymask 14, Bufferpools 0.

My system:

AMD PHENOM II X4 955 OC 3.84GHZ

RADEON R200/HD7900 3GB

8GB DDR3 RAM

1.5 TB HDD

FSX is now running smooth @ 30fps with scenery extremely dense and autogen dense. Water 2x Low and all shadows on (except terrain).

Pmdg other story... 25fps in the VC @ unlimited.

Thanks in advance!

HI Ray,

there really is no one size fits all answer. but, fwiw, I have my frames locked at 31 as do you.

I have fiber set at .33

Text Band width is 40

I only bog down at busy large airports...but that happens to most everyone, even with hi power gaming systems. I suggest that if you want more specifics, you should post info about your set up, mobo, video card, ram....etc,

Also, a screen shot or two where you are showing problems. Otherwise, if it's not broke, don't fix it....:-)
