Frame rates

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm interested in buying the dornier 228 but was wondering about frame rates. I have purchased many carenado airplanes and frame rates have made a few of them not flyable. Can anyone please provide feedback on dornier 228 frame rates?

Cheers,

Jason

My experience with it has been poor as far as frame rates go and I have a fairly high end system. That being said, it is a fantastic aircraft and if you have the GTN 750 from F1, it uses TWO of them! I know others I have spoken with have also had frame rate issues with it. Hopefully there will be a patch in the near future to help with the frame rate issues but I still find myself flying it often since I bought it.

I fly it frequently and being an all steam gauge plane, I think it is less demanding than other glass Carenados.  It runs smooth at 30fps in P3D. This is by far favorite Carenado plane.

Never had a Carenado/Alabeo steam gauge plane with framerate problems. Altough I only have a rather low end i3-4350 / GTX 750 system.
