Which Driver for 1070 in P3D V3.4

Recommended Posts

As a new convert to P3D, I have managed to get virtually everything working well, except for runway lights at some airports. Many of the airports are socalled P3D compatible, such as Aerosoft's Lisbon, but for some reason many are missing runway lights. I have done some research online and it appears that this is not uncommon. What makes it worse is that no one appears to have a solution for this. However, I have read that some guys are discovering that the anomoly can be cured by changing the GPU driver. So my question is.... is there anyone who runs a GTX 1070 in P3D v3.4 who does not have this issue. If this is the case could you please share with me your driver version. This would be helpful, thanks.

Howard, I'm using nvidia 376.33, although in my experience didn't make much of a difference. Older versions of Aerosoft airports like LPPT indeed have this issue which I solved by using a patch from simmershome.de - need to register (for free). Look for the AS international light pack I think. It gave more run for my older stuff. RWY's look good and I have blue taxiway edge lighting at LPPT.

Thanks for the info Andy. Is the patch only pertinent to LPPT or other Aerosoft airports also? I have V2 of LPPT.

Worth checking that you're not suddenly using the 376.53 drivers which Microsoft is sending out as a forced update. I had driver updates turned off and still got it!

Norman, there's a few other airports on that patch as well - I can't remember. LPPT v2 is what I have I believe. It's there when you unzip it. Delete/ copy/paste some files and you're done.

The site has some other handy stuff - check it out. You will need google translate as its all in German.
