Reg/Selcal Plate Texture

Recommended Posts

Hi,

The default texture doesn't look right to me as during the day the reg and selecal text displays white but at night with cockpit lighting the text appears dark. It's file: PMDG_747v2_NNumber.dds

Any idea why this is happening?

The flap limit plate text for example display white during the day and night.

Cheers,

Alex Macdonald

Its correct here but its dark writing in the default PMDG repaints weirdly:

PMDG_747-400_Night_Lighting-700x394-700x

What is different about the above to the released version?

Here is how I'm seeing it:

Thanks,

The plate is meant as a "sticker". There are no lights behind it to light it up.

I know its not back lit.

The flap limit 'sticker' as you call them which sits above this isn't back lit either and that stays white all the time...

Why would the PMDG preview have it as white at night and then the release candidate which changes to black.

It looks awful as it is.

Thanks,

Alex Macdonald

I actually just went over some photos of night flight decks, and on some the number are back lit and on some are not.

No answer from PMDG on this? Slightly disappointing to get no input having spent $135.

Thanks,

Alex

Give them time, they are quite busy. Im sure the tickets and piling up as well as the forum posts.

Still nothing from PMDG even with screenshots and a support ticket requested.

This is hardly a support forum...

We will address this humanitarian crisis immediately.

Wow that is a nice way to speak to a customer! Perhaps if you were a bit more clued up Vin you've have seen that this was answered earlier today in a pleasant response via support ticket which would have meant that this sort of moronic sarcasm wouldn't have been required.

It's a really unprofessional way to interact with a customer who's spent hundreds of dollars over the last few years with you.

Get off your high horse!
