Interest for an update on the B55 and/or C310 ?

Nope, not that I know of. I used my own resolution which amounted to returning to a much older update that pre-dated the MWAS (or whatever it's called) until the sound worked properly.  I will provide you the update/load number once I figure it out.

Thank you, I would appreciate that.

Stewart,

I can't be sure exactly which update version I used to get the proper battery and gyro sounds for the C310. However, it was the version prior to the MWAS app (?). I think it may have v1.160428, v1.160505 or v1.160528. It has been about 6 months, so I'm having trouble locating things. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Hi Folks,

Yeah - Kat gave me the oldest installer they still had on hand - it didn't fix the Nav Lights or Beacon issue... The ones that did work for me were the old ones where the GTN install was a separate package but unfortunately I inadvertently deleted them... I think all the problems started with the "Universal" installer...

Scott

Thanks, Les and Scott.  I would agree--the universal installer seems to be the culprit.  It should be a simple fix, though, don't you think?

Hi Stew,

Yeah - Les and I have had the issues open on the MilViz Support Forum for 4 or 5 months now - they've been acknowledged and discussed with Colin and team... Colin stated their limited staff is kind of busy and they will get to it when able...

Honestly - the sound and lights issue is kind of a show stopper for me - so my C310 has been relegated to a hangar queen gathering dust for a while now...

Hopefully - we'll get some type of update soon...

Regards,
Scott

Hi, Scott.  Somehow, I don't have the lights issue, but the problem with the sounds is sort of minor, for me at least.  I regularly fly the C310 on quite a few GA trips to both the Orbx freeware airports, of which there are many, many, lol; and Orbx payware airfields as well.  I try to alternate when the mood strikes between the A2A Comanche and the C310.  On occasion, I'll throw in the Alabeo Chieftain for higher altitude jaunts--it really scoots along.  I just rediscovered the Carenado F406 and find it's quite well done, for Carenado, heh!  Small to medium Orbx airfields seem appropriate, with no worries if they're up in the clouds, KTEX or KEGE, for example.  Long distance flights at altitude I like the Flysimware Cessna Conquest, the "big brother" of the F406.

  • 8 months later...

I just scanned this entire thread and it sounds like the C310 will get some love at some point but not the B55.  That said, has anyone tried the B55/E55 in P3D v4?

It's on sale this week at their usual 30% off.  It is on my list of interest so I thought I might pick it up but the lack of v4 compatibility that he C310 has makes me put on the brakes.

Wondering if the C310 might be the better choice in this sale?

The B-55 will, after all, get the same redux treatment that the C310R is getting but, sadly, at a later date.

It will, however, be made fully compatible with v4 as well as get some updates in the next month or so... (please oh PLEASE don't count the days on this one)....

Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information.  Please provide proof of purchase if you want support.  Also, include the username you wish to have.

As a matter of interest I installed the B55 into P3Dv4 and it works. I didn't see anything that didn't work...Except. If you like all your aircraft to be in matt colours. I checked the paint kit and the Alpha channel was white. There was obviously a different way of producing shine in previous versions. I'll uninstall it and wait, patiently, for the updated one. When will that be Colin, any time soon?

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the update...

Please have your FDE guy - fly a couple approaches at the published speeds - as a sanity check ?
