Strange Problem with Ground Textures

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that after a long flight with the Queen my ground textures go totally blurry.  If I go into settings and make a slight change to something the screen will rewrite and they will come back (for a while anyway).  This only seems to happen with the Queen.  I'm at work now but will post some screen shots when I get home.

Using the wrong affinity mask can cause this.  I don't think it is related to PMDG other than you are flying a complex aircraft simulation. You might seek help next door in the avsim P3D or FSX forums.

Thanks.  I was planning on letting P3d rebuild the CFG file to see if that would help...Interesting that I've only seen this with the Queen.  Did a 9 hour test flight with the 777 and did not see the problem.

Rebuilt the CFG file and changed my affinity mask from 84 to 85 and all seems well.

FWIW, I encounter same issues with blurry textures with the Queen and AF=14. Textures load much smoother if AF is omitted in the cfg. (6700k HT off)
