The final frontier!

Recommended Posts

Just a silly question:

Did you guys ever consider expanding FreeMeshX with a bathymetric map?

Almost anything would be better than what is in stock P3D (except for some select areas around the US). You cannot even use a submersible (well, at least not submerged ...) in the Baltic Sea and it annoys me!

Hi Penz,

We've considered it, but not seriously. We're more focused on the USA mesh, and we're waiting to see what changes (if any P3Dv4) will bring. We don't want to over promise at this point.

Oh, it wasn't a feature request in any way Daniel, just being curious!. :Tounge:

I have discovered serious problems with the bathymetry as well.  Have a look at this thread over at P3D forums.

The only way I could fix the problem was by disabling Bathymetry from World > Scenery Library menu.

Interesting, I have never noticed that!

The only problem I have with bathymetry is that the water is much too shallow around my part of the world. Hence the desire for a better bathymetry mesh. ;)
