LINDA and P3D v4 64-Bit

Recommended Posts

Fantastic news and all done so quickly.  Thanks so much for your work on this!

Just a dumb question.  Does LINDA now work for FSX, FSX-SE, P3Dv3 and v4 all with the same installer or is this one only for P3D v4 ?

LINDA 3.0.0 beta will work with all Flt Sims 32- and 64-bit but must be installed into each separate Flt Sim \modules folder.

LINDA 3.0.0 Beta 653 seems to only support 64bit.  Deselecting the "Use 64bit" seems to have no effect.

Specs: Win10, 4790K, nVidia 1080ti, Saitek Yoke+Quadrant+Radio/Switch and AP panels, VRInsight 737 overhead, Virtual Avionics 737 MCP. 3 x 1440*900 main display + 1024*600 VDU display. NLR V3 Motion seat. Oculus DK2 CV1 HTC Vive VR headsets.

The latest LINDA 3.0.0 (653) will work with both 32-bit and 64-bit Flt Sims. Have you installed it into your "old" FSX/FSX-SE/P3Dv3 modules folder? If you are using multiple Flt Sims you will need to install it separately into each version and make sure you run the correct one (rename any shortcuts to indicate their location) for the Flt Sim you are using.

I agree that the 64-bit checkbox has no practical purpose. I thought original that I would need 2 different versions but the switching between 32- and 64-bit is now automatic based on whether located with FSUIPC4 (32-bit) or FSUIPC5 (64-bit).

Please post problem reports on LINDA Support sub-forum.

I did the whole described procedure:

  • Installing FSUIPC5.10 (Paid version)
  • Replacing the DLL (testversion 5.10m)
  • Placing Linda 3.0(build 668) into the same Module-folder as FSUIPC in P3Dv4
  • Closing down P3Dv4
  • Restarting Linda
  • Restarting P3Dv4
  • The monitor, after reloading LUA, Linda restarted
  • In LInda in Summery everything "green"

Sorry, no results.with the COMBO-1

What did I wrong ??

Welcome to the LINDA community.

You have done nothing wrong in the 'workaround' procedure. Have you set the correct comm port for your MCP panel? Goto Setup MCP Combo, ensure enabled and the correct comm port number. Also ensure VRiSim is NOT running. Close everything and restart LINDA followed by P3Dv4. I have not tested with the MCP1 original panel but nothing has changed in this area.

Please post future queries under LINDA Support sub-forum.
