P3d

Recommended Posts

Yes but an added step is needed for saving flights. Be sure you use the latest fsuipc4  and check its release notes since some accommodations were made to it to handle P3D. I am not sure if it handles P3D's later versions.

I don't have P3D but apparently we have several users doing it.

From the the rc forum screen do a search on p3D.

Radar Contact works just fine on the latest (3.4.22) P3D version as long as you have a current build of FSUIPC (4.960 or later for this P3D version).  It's worked fine for me with every version of P3D going back to v2.0.

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/80977-updated-modules/ is where you'll find interim and complete installs with notes.

http://www.jdtllc.com/documentation.htm are links to documentation and tutorials.

The fsuipc in flight menu is not current in these but use the windows style transparent format.

It is important that the in-flight menu window NOT be in focus, but the fs panel view should be hot to use the selection keys.

Some of the default keys mentioned in the tutorial are different. In RC just bring up the keyboard tab and change if you wish. You need to insure their are no keyboard conflicts with P3D or running add-ons.

Also update makerwys.exe after your initial install and then run the rc scenery build again. Makerwys.exe is here:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/

If P3D and RC are on the same PC (not networked) RC will call makerwys in the scenery rebuild and then copy and process files as needed. If RC is on a client PC to a P3D host as networked run makerwys in your P3Dfolder first, then run the RC scenery rebuild. Be sure to put in the correct path to P3D when prompted.

If you downloaded RC be sure to keep a safe backup of the download in case you need a reinstall. In that backup keep a copy of your registration reply that you received when you requested your key. That key is good unless you move RC to a different PC or partition or do a disk reformat.
