How to Uninstall VoxATC?

Recommended Posts

For some reason I am unable to uninstall VoxATC via the Win control panel, programs and features. I think it may be a left over from FSX-SE, I'm unsure. But I want to get rid of it and try the Beta in P3D.

Here is the error message I get

VoxAtc.jpg

Can anyone suggest the correct way of uninstalling this. Cheers guys.

Given that there is no "proper" uninstaller, logic makes me think on ORBX lines, prior to FTXC 3x.  Just delete the program folder and turn the default ATC back on in FS settings.

Nothing to lose by trying.  You can always reverse the actions if the s**t hits the fan.

Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Hmm, sure, but I don't want to leave any files elsewhere. I guess I can root them out though. Cheers.

The VOXATC  beta has a "proper uninstaller" and just to be sure I checked it with one of those 3rd party Windows uninstaller utilities, Total Uninstall:

http://www.martau.com/

The beta's uninstall package is very thorough  at removing files and registry entries. However, Total Uninstall should remove any last vestige of the beta unless the Windows  installer facility is corrupt, which is not unusual  for Windows  7.

I think that the reason that no one else here has volunteered  a solution is that it would involve registry  editing, which unless one really is careful is fraught with problems. One thing that can be tried first without registry  meddling is to download and run this MS Tecnet utility:
