Hello! A 1000 to go, ALT SEL. Hello!

Recommended Posts

My version is button, I also have 737 and 777, and I use (happily) Spad.Next. The problem I will describe happens only in the Q400. Oh, and I don't use LINDA, which I can't say exactly what it is or how and where is applied.

I've tested the Q400 without FS2Crew and the issue didn't happen.

The problem is: as soon as I start FS2Crew on the Q400, I start to hear a voice saying "hello!" at random times. And after takeoff, the FO keep saying "a thousand to go, ALT SEL", during all the climb to cruise altitude.

Reading the forum I found some people with this problem but the discussion always goes to LINDA and I get lost.

Best,

Heron

Hi Heron,

Spad.next could be the issue, as I believe it and LINDA are the same.

Try this: Go into the CFG menu via the FS2Crew Main Panel.

Select: LINDA to YES.

That will fix your 1000 ALT sel issue.

Not sure about the Hello issue.  It sounds like you're triggering the FA call button.

Try it with Linda set to yes.

Brian,

Thanks, but I didn't find any LINDA option. I looked in the CFG button at Q400 FS2Crew Main Panel. Where exactly is this menu?

Brian,

I was clicking CFG button multiple times - there are 8 options and none of them is LINDA. I have indeed Special Bundle Pack V3.0.

Version 3.1 CFG option Linda=Yes solved the "Hello" and "1000 to go alt sel" problems. Thanks for the support.

Just one more detail: when NOT using Spad.Next, we must set LINDA = NO in order to hear the FO saying "1000 to go Alt Sel" at the correct altitude, climbing or descending.
