747 swinging around Altitude and Route

Recommended Posts

Hello!

First of all I just want to say thank you for this fantastic bird!

But I have a little problem with it (not only since the update today, I have this problem since release).

The 747 is "swinging" around altitude and route inflight.

The problem appears with and without AS16.

Here a few pictures:

With AS16:

Without AS16:

This problem also appears during approach and so it is quite impossible to follow the LOC and GS.

The 747 all in all is nearly unflyable by hand.

Sometimes it is that bad that the Bank-Angle-Warning is heard.

I really don't know what I still can do, I already tried to reinstall the 747, but nothing helped.

That problem only appears with the PMDG 747v3. All other aircrafts including the PMDG 737 and 777 are working without any problems.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards

Matthias

What add-ons are you using alongside the 744? This points to a weather program issue, or even a BIOS issue.

Addons I am using:

- AS16/ASCA

- FSUIPC

- RAAS PRO

- GSX

And airports of course.

The weather program was the first that came into my mind, too, but then I tried it without AS16/ASCA (pictures 2,3,4) but it didn't help.

Today evening I have reinstalled all my PMDG products (737, 777 and 747), deleted all files after uninstalling, but afterwards the problem still remained...

I recommend against trying this unless someone specifically tells you to. You can introduce all kinds of weird behavior if it's not done properly.

Hmm...ASUS motherboard, perhaps?

Kyle is hinting at the CMOS real time clock bug that plagued certain ASUS motherboards. This affected things such as the high-precision event timer that PMDG software uses to keep all the subsystems in synch, leading to bizarre behaviour.

Unfortunately no, I've got a MSI Mainboard

Just my system:

Intel I7-5820K@4,2 GHz

Zotac GTX980 AMP! Edition

RAM: 16 GB DDR4

MSI X99A SLI PLUS

730 W Power Supply

512 GB SSD

EDIT:
Another picture without any weather addon.

Hi Matthias,

Had the same issue as you and was tearing my hair out. I see you use EZDOK, are you running V2? If so, suggest you read the below - a kind member advised some of the effects EZDOK V2 impart on the sim/aeroplane cause this issue:

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on. I know how frustrating this issue can be.

Joe.

Thank you for your reply, yes, I am using EZDOKv2

I will try that out and report!

Thank you so much, setting the main channel fuselage value to 0 helped!

That was the crucial hint!

Now it really is a fantastic aircraft!

Its really worrying how much EZDOKv2 influences other aspects of the flightsim even tough its 'only a cam tool'. Its likely to cause all kind of issues when used with todays complex 3rd party aircrafts

I use OpusFSI cameras without any issues, great cameras. Disabled weather in it and instead got AS16 + ASCA, a much better weather and does push aircraft around in turbulence weather.

Did have EZDOC a while ago but I throw it as long as possible away from my computer, very silly movements. It is Crap!! Felt like I was drunk.
Is it not the airplane that should move in turbulence?? Not me!!

And now it ruins how planes fly!? What kind of crap are they creating??
