Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F10 error

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have had various versions of linda over the last couple of years.

I have rebuilt my desktop and started all new an fresh, however when I launch linda I get the following warning "Unable to assign CTRL+ALT+Shift+F10 as a Hotkey"

I have looked everywhere for anything bound to this key setup and can find nothing.

I am currently using Linda 2.9.3, Prepar3D 3.4.22.19868 and FSUIPC 4.964 with an Saitek x52 as the only additional hardware.

Does anybody know how to stop this?

James.

Hi James

The hotkey is used in Tracer for triggering the LVar toggle via the keyboard. The error message is generated by LINDA on start up when the hotkey CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F10 is already in use. This would suggest that it has been set by another application. I don't know how to suggest you stop it but it can be ignored.

Thanks for the pointer.

On the basis that t i am running on a rebuild of my OS I went back to the start (should have been clear that I only looked for bindings in P3D and addons) and to my surprise I found that CRTL+ALT+Shift+F10 is used to launch the performance monitor in the Alienware command centre.

In theory this should only affect Alienware owners, I found that exiting the AlienFX controller (Controls the disco lights not essential for flying) in the notifications area stopped the error message.

James.

I get this sometimes but only if the Tracer opens when Linda starts.

That would do it. Do you have something else running?
