LINDA 747 Module 1.1

Recommended Posts

Hi;

I have an Boeing MCP II and I have 2 questions:

1) I have the MCP displaying G1A and A2G. Do these things mean anything?

2) I see to DEST displayed on the MCP. I know what it means but why is it there and can I change it?

Thanks!!

Hello,

1)

G1A and A2G means Ground Power and APU1 and Ground Power and APU2.

You should be seeing "-", "o" or "^" below showing the actual state if GPU or APU is connected or not.

(Especially helpful for freighters for cargo door openeing)

2)

Why don't you like it?

What is your suggestion?

HI Skewr

The G1A A2E is displayed when on the ground to indicate Ext Power 1, APU1, APU2, Ext Power 2.

The To Dest displays the distance to destination in NM.

You can remove the To Dest by editing the actions.lua file with care. Click on Edit button (top left) and then click Edit Action (bottom right). Find lines 423 to 428. Comment out the lines with '--' and add 2 new lines within the same else-end:

LongTxt1 = ' '

LongTxt2 = ' '

Hello gentlemen!

1) Thank you for answering my question! I just couldn't figure it out

2) I actually LIKE the idea of NM to Destination, but it never has a value in it other than zero.

I'm very appreciative of the work put into LINDA. A sincere "thank you" to you both.

Yes, sir.

I am pretty competent (as far as I think PMDG simmers go) with the FMC. I can post a pic if you like.

Thanks for your help!
