X-Plane 11 pb15 is out

Recommended Posts

Installing now, no release notes yet.

Edit to add: It loads okay on my system but that's as far as I got, no time to test it tonight.

I don't mind the frequent updates. It's nice to see the process happening that stuff is getting fixed before official release.

Simply a fix for what was broke in 14 plane maker. An old engineering term "the third floor didn't know what the second floor was doing".

Fantastic update ! I am getting a extra smooth 10fps coming from B13, maybe it's my new Ryzen CPU ! The 172 is a lot more stable in crosswind taxiing and takeoff roll ! Clouds are a big improvement as well !

The ground friction is nuts in PB13.

It is almost like the aircraft are super-glued to the tarmac lol

1800x ! And a Asus x370 pro. Overclocked to 4.1ghz, I think I can go higher ! My AIO is doing a good job of of keeping temps down. I need a new GPU. The 1080ti looks tempting ! But I want to wait for Vega since Nvidia doesn't support freesync. Freesync 2 is going to be a game changer for using TVs as monitors next year !

It's awesome ! It's a acquired taste at first, but once acquired you will be using the other sim less and less till it's deleted !

Well - I already have X-Plane 11 and tried it until - like pb4 or something... I liked it, but got sick of the clouds, weather system and missing advanced tube-lineres...

But maybe, I should give it a go again...

Clouds are definitely better ! A complete weather overhaul probably won't see the day of light till XPX-12. I am GA flyer so I can't comment on tube-lineres.

Ben is looking to improve situations where the new clouds are causing too much of a FPS hit. So if you're getting massive FPS drops, read the post below and file a bug report including full-res screen shot, plane model used, and .sit file if possible to reproduce it:

Clouds seem a lot better, performance hit ...yes...however I am noticing more of a pause/ stutter with the rendering of the ground and objects now? than in previous Beta releases.

Well looking forward to number 16..to see what is next!

Cheers

Are you seeing a performance hit compared to the old clouds ?
