I'd like to see new double winglets on the 737 anyone agree?

Quite a few people agree actually, I'm one of them, but the question is asked fairly regularly and there are a few discussions about it. I'm not sure what the official PMDG position is on it, but given what the talk is on the rest of the forums, it doesn't seem like it's been ruled out, but it's not a priority at the moment either. If you go through the links below you can get a better idea of what the discussions are about.

Gents,

Performance data is an issue at this juncture.

We are working to resolve that issue (it is NOT cheap...)

Probably be something that makes it's entre in an NGX3.0...

I wonder how many people are going to read this as "We are making an NGX 3.0"

Hahaha

Scimitars are what's really going to save the NG in the future for airlines. Not only does it give something pretty for the passengers to look at, pilots and airlines benefit from it too! Looking forward to the possible day my NGX will allow this option. Lot's of data to gather and make it sim accurate first.

I can understand the airlines benefiting from it, but how do the pilots benefit from it.

Well, Scimitars improve fuel efficiency, which would require less fuel on board, reducing fuel weight, allowing for better takeoff performance on hot days or fields with shorter runway lengths. It may not sound like much, but even a couple or a few hundred pounds of less fuel makes a difference in flight planning. LED Landing/Taxi Lights are also less polluted than the current ones, so night ops are improved/easier to operate in.

I doubt most passengers would even notice or even care, unless the passenger was an aviation enthusiast, and even they probably don't care about scimitars.

Aside from the performance benefit, I personally don't think there is anything particularly exciting about them to look at.

@rsrandazzo, You look handsome today! But let's get to the point. NGX release for P3dV4 would be fair to call NGX v3, wouldn't it? Saw a Norwegian 737, approach to the local airport tonight and as I noticed the LED Strobes, I thought, hmm that could be a "easy" small but yet again big thing for PMDG to include in the P3Dv4 release.

Hinthint. Christmas in just 5 months and a few days, how about that present you love giving us? =D *hugs*

No, the P3Dv4 release is a compatibility update only, there are no major fixes or new features.

Also, the Norwegian you saw with LED strobes was probably a new MAX model.
