DX Missbehave after appying Fixer

Recommended Posts

Just applied Steve DX10 Fixer , had no chance to take off due to the fact that for some reason my Menu Bar is coming up with dashes only and then it change and become blurry and unreadable .

another issue is that the Cursor is blinking when moving GPS to the second monitor (only in Full screen) , might be something in my NV Inspector, but have no idea

Would appreciate any help

BTW

I was running DX10 for few min prior to applying the "Fixer" and everything seems okay

misbehave

Cheers

Your dll.xml is corrupted.  See page 13, AVSIM CTD Guide.

Best regards,

Jim

tnx Jim

I reinstalled FSUIPC & the issue with the cursor is gone,

Now, should I look for the menu bar issue at the xml.dll as well .. and sorry for the question, but what do I suppose to look for at the file ?? ..

Reg.

Your dll.xml can become corrupted if one of the modules it is trying to load, like the FSUIPC, is outdated or corrupted.  The dll.xml loads the menu bar.  If anything is corrupted with it, then your menu bar is not going to look very pretty when you start up FSX.  So, on page 13, I explained in the guide how to look for the corruption.  I have an image of the dll.xml and I show you how to modify it so a module does not load.  But the fastest way to find out if the dll.xml is corrupted is to rename the dll.xml to dll.orig, restart fsx and see if this fixes the problem with the menu bar.  The dll.xml is not installed by default in FSX (in P3D it is).  If you just have the fsuipc utility installed and showing in the dll.xml, then it is highly likely it is the fsuipc.dll that is causing your issues with the menu bar.

Best regards,

Jim
