Mod package for the GTN equipped PC12 V2

Recommended Posts

For those who are still flying the default V2 with a GTN750 in the panel, I have a package that can be requested via PM to me with your email address that includes the following fixes:

- Pitot Heat operational

- GEN switches ON by default

- EHSI shows correct CDI deflection when GTN is on test page

- Duplicate click sounds removed

- GNS530 shows correct NAV2 ident information

- GNS530 COM2 dial works correctly

- GNS530 MSG set to OFF and Avidyne is OFF (personal preference)

- Antiskid brakes enabled

- YD is turned off if autopilot is turned off, using the Z-key

As best I know, Autogyro is looking at his V1 engine indicator fixes to assess if they work in V2

Bert, is it the same mods you've sent to me yesterday?

Bert,

Why do the gen switches default to on?  Is this a personal preference or is it normal for PC12 operation?

When I load the PC12 in a "running" state, I expect the GEN switches to be on, not off.

After applying your mod, if I start cold and dark will the switches be on or off?

I have not changed that.. but if Carenado forgot to turn off the GEN1 switch when you push the Cold@Dark button, that would be easy to add.

Edit: I checked it, and yes that is a bug in the original code.

Great stuff Bert!

Sorry for the delays with the ITT etc fixes, as I'm currently unable to do any work as I'm nursing a serious leg injury. In 4 weeks time I'll be reviewing all changes with v2 and will be adapting the old fixes over to the new model.

This will include flying performance fixes as well as ITT and voltage/amp display modelling and some other minor fixes as we had in v1.8.

It will be compatible with all fixes that Bert is making for v2
