It seems the DC-6 for P3D/FSX is getting first priority, but also waiting here for the -8i.

How'd you figure that? This could be two different teams, working independend of each other...

Simply because the DC-6 P3D Product Update is being installed by the PMDG OC, once you run it, and the -8i not yet!.

It's been there for a while.  Click on the 747, go to "expansions".

The 8i has been there from the beginning...under expansions.

EDIT:

DOH!  Max beat me to it.  That's what you get for opening a window and not refreshing after getting distracted!!  lol!

You are correct, but then what?
There is no plane that is buyable/downloadable with 747-8

/P

Of course, it hasn't been released yet.  Only PMDG knows.

I don't really understand... This could still be two different independend teams?!

Whether or not, it's updated/visible through the OC is quite irelevant in this case.
Besides, the 8i has been visible in the OC for a while now.

My thinking is that the 747-8i product module is not yet uploaded by PMDG (the expansion commercial info is there, but its product module is not there yet). And, of course, in the case of the DC-6 now you have both, the information and the product module. If my thinking is correct, that would imply the DC-6 for FSX/P3D will be released before the 747-8i expansion.

Anyway, we should enjoy the B747 meanwhile!.
