Commander in P3Dv3

Recommended Posts

Has anybody tried this aircraft in P3Dv3? I have time in a RW Commander and would love to add this one to my fleet.

Thanks.

EDIT: I also have the F1 GTN750 and was wondering if it works in this aircraft?

You have to install it into FSX (or a fake FSX install) first and then simply manually move the folders over to P3D. Works nicely that way.

Most imporant; download the 'optional patch' from the Carenado update section because it exchanges the complete FDE for a much better version (with the new one you can replicate Bob Hoovers AC114 aerobatic session). Should have been a SP and not an optional patch IMO.

I stand corrected. Interesting video, thank you. I was not aware that he did any demos in the 114s. Even more of a testament to a great aircraft and pilot.

Back to the original point, I do not have FSX so just install the aircraft into any folder and then move them to my simobjects/airplanes folder in p3d? Everything will transfer over and be functional this way?

I don't think that's possible because the installer is looking for a valid FSX install.    A long time ago I've tried to set up a 'fake' FSX install but it didn't work.
