v0.1.678 Issues

Recommended Posts

I'm new to ChasePlane, and yesterday I was doing so well setting up my Flight1 Mustang 510. Today I started out P3D and FSX to try and set up my Aerosoft Airbus and PMDG J41, but it's having issues with it. It simply doesn't accept any view settings, and on the exterior views, you can't see the aircraft, or there is just a skeleton. I remember back in the days when I used EZdok, you had to hit the configure key in order to recognize the aircraft, otherwise you had that skeleton view too. I understand we are dealing with an Alpha program, but just wanted to know if this is one of those known issues or not?

Did you get an "Aircraft Misconfigured" message after loading the aircraft?

Yes I did, Keven. One thing I want to let you know about these two aircraft, the Aerosoft Airbus and PMDG Jetstream 41, I'm using FS2Crew on both. Maybe it has nothing to do with it, but just wanted to let you know that it's the only thing I've added to these two aircraft.

Like the message states, reloading the aircraft or restarting the simulator should solve the issue.

Keven

UPDATE: At first I was going to say I tried that and it didn't work, which it didn't yesterday, but today I tried again, and it's working. It did so after I set up the PMDG 737 NGX first, and then the J41 worked. No clue why, but I'm glad it's working. Haven't tried the Aerosoft Airbus, but that's next.

I just tried to set up the Aerosoft Airbus, reloaded the aircraft after it gave me "Aircraft Misconfigured" message. I was able to set up the interior cockpit view, and it will set up exterior views, but you can't see the aircraft. All I see is a shadow on the ground, and the bulkhead of the cockpit, that's it. I looked around this forum and found a posting from last year where it shows we should disable the system view, and rename the View.xml file. Did that and know I can see the exterior of the aircraft, but I just want to know if this is something that will be corrected in the future without having to tweak xml files?

Reload your simulator just like you did for the other aircraft.

Like I said before, I did reloaded my simulator, but when it came to the Airbus, the only way to fix the issue was to disable the system view and rename the View.xml file.

ChasePlane no longer requires the View.xml hack... Are you using 0.1.1xx or 0.1.6xx?

I'm going to change my View.xml back to normal, and see what happens. I did set up my views yesterday, so I'm hoping that's the end of that issue. Will check back and confirm.

Okay Keven, I can report that I left the system view disabled in the MCDU, since I don't use that little corner window view icon, and rename the View.xml file back to its original format. I tested the Airbus, and it's working fine now. I will consider this a success, and issue closed in my part.
