What is with the "Pogo Stick?"

Recommended Posts

Guest

I have heard PMDG and a number or forum users mention the "pogo stick" that can be found in the cargo holds of some of PMDG's aircraft.

What on Earth is it meant to mean?   Is it some sort of inside joke or something?  I'd Love to know what it means.

the story i heard was that back in the day the nose gear strut on an old project was similar looking to a Pogo stick, the joke stuck and so pmdg has included a Pogo stick in every aircraft. recently they have included a Segway as well.

I feel I am getting old the Pogo stick becomes a history that needs explanation to newer generations :(

The pogo stick is for hitting your co-pilot with when he suggests going around whilst the VAS warning is dinging away.

Years ago a customer said they'd buy a pogo stick if PMDG made it, or made some comment about all the bells and whistles being so detailed that all was missing was a pogo stick.  I vaguely remember those threads.

By the weight who is the woodpigeon? By the same token as Pigme or Ponsky? For that I say, where is the patch for pogo stick.
