xp11 is amazing - Looks almost like the real thing!

Recommended Posts

I also really like the XP11 demo, but I also feel like @Piotr007

I would need some good planes. The IGEX 737 is nice, but too "old" for me personally. The A350 was my hope, but what I read it has some major drawbacks...

Well, in my eyes the engine of XP is really great and I guess I will switch someday. But not at the moment :-)

When you come from P3D and you are NOT impressed by the standard XP - then something is wrong with your eyes :-)

There's a lot more than just visual candy to make a good sim.

There are some great planes, but you have to understand that through the Beta Phase, LR was "up and down" with their fixes, fixing one thing broke another, and so on and so forth, so the developers took a stance of waiting until XP11 went final to release patches and upgrades.  I have the FF767 and A350 and both are still in the hangar until updates are available that address all of the long-standing issues.

The A350 is a fantastic aircraft, when it works.  In XP10, it's fine, it's the updates that need worked out for XP11 that is taking time.

Yes you are correct and that is why I like both P3D and X11. If I want to fly with deep and realistic procedures I fly P3D 747 but if I want to fly with beautiful scenery and lighting and not go so deep I fly X11.  Best of both worlds.

Not every simmer is a magenta line follower. X-Plane adoption is skyrocketing, so it must have something good.

Another thing about X11 is the scenery that is free that rivals payware (Mr X). Also the payware scenery does not seem overpriced as I just bought Innsbruck for X11 for 18 bucks but holding off on Insbruck Orbx for P3D because it is 40 bucks. The X11 payware Innsbruck looks good, almost as good as the Orbx version.

I spent a lot of years in FSX and while it has some great airliners it also has some horrible ones. I find the X-plane ones right in between. A bit lighter then PMDG stuff, but what they did implement works. And that works out even better for me because PMDG is probably (for me) overkill and getting too expensive. The FF 767 is very nice. I also like the JAR A330.

I am almost certain that I will switch / use XP11 soon... I really hope that the interesting addons will also be available for XP11, like for example the PMDG stuff.

I am one of the "magenta line followers" (I hope you didn't mean this as negative as it sounds). And for this, XP is not really on par with P3D. I really WANT to have the XP engine and I can understand everyone who already uses XP - but I cannot understand these comments towards people who still do not have all they need in XP.

To be honest - I hate this fanb*y cr*p. They are both good simulators, both with up and downsides. And in my eyes with the future in XP just because of the newer engine.
