FSX-SE How to save a flight?

I was flying a long distance flight to KSLC ( Salt Lake City ) in the new PMDG 747 and noticed that Chase Plane was running low on vas so since the flight was half way I decided to save the flight, something that has never been done by me before.

I saved the flight then shut everything down. I had to re-start the computer because I have FSX SE and that's something that has to be done if I want Steam to work. So I fired everything up again then went to load, 

clicked on the flight that was saved and what I got was the default flight with the hang glidder. What am I missing?

When you saved the flight you have to give it a name. Then when you start FSX and go to saved flights, select the one you named.

Did you follow these steps and give the flight you saved a name?

Yes, I gave it a name it was KCVG-KSLC. I posted this last night and this morning noticed ironically there is a post on the

 subject right above mine. lol
