Anyone know what this sound is A320

Hi,

was wondering if anybody knows what the sound is in this video?  

Its A320 family you can generally only here between the wings and at rear of wings. Starts at about 1:10 in the tagged video maybe something to do with the cab fans? if

It might be the air conditioning packs.

I think it's the fuel pumps.

It could be vibration associated with the APU... It is actually present from the beginning, just not as loud when standing in the cabin.

Hi Oliwen,

I think your correct, its seems the newer A320 family use a four fuel pump configuration where as older versions use a six pump arrangement. I found a another video with the same sound in a 733

Also, if this is the sound of the wing fuel pumps on the video, does this mean the pumps are left running during boarding/deplaning?

I may be wrong, but I think it is more likely to be the Yellow hydraulic system electric pump which, if I recall, is located in that area of the fuselage. Runs the cargo doors. Would also be switched on for a single-engine taxi out.

Fuel pumps normally off as part of the parking checklist but would be turned back on at some point during the cockpit preparation.
