VAS leak vs. High Settings

For me, place the aircraft wherever you want to test. Go to spot view and span several times around the aircraft with view toward the scenes far away so that the simulator loads everything around. If OOM caused buy high settings you'd probably get it very soon. If not, just put the sim there and do something else. Come back hours later to check the VAS. If you have FSUIPC log then it would be easier.
I am currently doing the same for the newest nVidia driver. The available memory does go down, but still fluctuating up and down. Will do a long haul overnight to test again.

Thanks for the reply.  But what about when your flying already?  Say your en-route and you plug something into the FMC (for example).  Are there any noticeable signs of a VAS leak?

If you fly high enough to not load any airports and autogens at the surface and you encounter memory leak, it can easily be the aircraft itself. I have only heard memory leak due to FMC from PMDG 777 which relates to certain STAR. However it has not happened to me. With other aircrafts (FSLabs A320x, PMDG 737/747) I also don't have memory leak from using FMC so far.

By the way, you can use FSUIPC log to monitor your available memory through the flight.
