Sexy Challenger jet out of SNA

Recommended Posts

I'm enroute to Phoenix from John Wayne.  Flight plan is STREL4 TRM J169 BLH HYDRR1.  I'm still working out the kinks with the stock FMS, but it's FAR FAR better than the old XP10 unit.  The last shot is passing Palm Springs from FL350.  Oh yeah, scenery is from 'BFG500' it's donationware.... 50 bucks get's you around 14 airports.  And freeware Ortho4xp ZL16 tiles I generated.  DDENN Challenger 300 (payware).  Enjoy!

Awesome shots!! Don't skimp on the cheap fuel, those CL30's shouldn't smoke like that. ;)

Very nice shots!
Are there any photoscenery in those shots!

Especially like the ones from high altitude... X-Plane really shines, IMO...

I believe you meant GPB500, from the Org, who offers a ERP subscription for the aforementioned $50 (he's upped his cost), but the 14 and counting airports he releases are near payware quality and well worth it.  He just released a small airport KBWG recently and is continuing his work elsewhere (cannot disclose at this time). He can be reached at gpb500-x@yahoo.com, to inquire and donate.

Something like that.  His real name is Greg, btw and out of respect to those who are emerging as great designers in XP, and they provide their real names, we should try to address them as such.

Excellent pictorial Ryan, just wondering on the Challenger's pricing? Who knowns, after building my new computer I might consider XP11...

I think it's $30 - the FMS is stock XP11.  Sort of like a lite version of the Boeing FMS.  But there is systems modeling and the rest of the avionics modeling is actually pretty good.  Sounds are good too.

its pretty much my go to fast plane in XP11.  MMO is Mach .80 or 82 - so B738 NG speeds.  But the initial climb rate is insane... can effortlessly do 6000+ fpm with full load.
