How or where can I find how many hours I have flown multi-engine aircraft in FSX

Recommended Posts

Is there any way I can determine how many multi-engine hours I have logged in MS-FSX?

Thank You.

I suppose I should have purchased a real log book.  I have been flying Flight Simulator, before Microsoft [stole, I mean aquired, it] since 1986 and have never kept logs of hours flown.  I have been using FSX since it came out.

You could try going through the FSX logbook and adding up all the hours (or possibly read it out in to Excel or something and run a filter) but failing that, not in any easy way that I can think of.

I've kept a little paper log for the last couple of years - it's cross-platform, it's not vulnerable to file corruption or a computer crash/reinstall etc, and it's good fun to look back over the years. I wish I'd started keeping a proper record earlier on though - I've got various bits of 'memorabilia' (charts, flightplans, navlogs and notes in hard copy etc) from over the last 20 years or so but it would have been nice to have had a proper log to tot up and look back at!

Thank you.

I was hoping there was an easy way to find it in an .ini or othr file.

In the program data the same location I think as the scenery.cfg file there are folders for your aircrafts and each one has hours of engine time just add up all the multi engine airplanes. The location might be different could be the fsx.cfg location one of those not at home to check.

There is a free utility available called FSX Logbook which can be prioritized according to a number of variables. It is great!
