Took the plunge - went P3D

Recommended Posts

So excited for 64 bit... still running FSX (non SE) and not too unsatisfied with performance.

I made the switch in June last year, and I'm glad I did. I've got a somewhat long-in-the-tooth system (i7-2600K, nVidia 760), but even so, I can run P3D so that it looks much better than FSX did at the same frame rates ... I lock mine at 20 fps to make things as smooth as possible--few if any stutters as a result.

I find the interior shadowing alone adds so much to realism, as well as the HDR effects. Wow! I could never do that with FSX and maintain an almost stutter-free experience.
