Carenado GNS530

You cannot "add points" that way as this is based on the default G500. You have to create/load a flightplan in FSX, then it will be displayed in the GNS530.

This simple AP can only hold the current altitude.

Example: You are at 3000 feet and want to climb to 5000 feet and hold this new altitude.

First rotate the command wheel to put the aircraft into a nose-up attitude.

When reaching 5000 feet, press the altitude hold button, which will cancel the nose-up attitude set at the command wheel.

The aircraft will probably overshoot 5000 feet a bit, but will return to this altitude by itself.

If you want to prevent overshooting, you could use the command wheel at e.g. 4500 feet to reduce the climb.
