Belgium 2012 free photoscenery

Recommended Posts

Hello mr Salden,

I have downloaded and unpacked your 3 rar-files. In the resulting Belgium 2012 folder the scenery folder contains 94 items.

The file

Area_Lp2_SnapOff_N050410787_N050282146_E002500471_E003132712

is present twice, once with the rar and once with the bgl extension.

There are no AFCAD files.

In the actual scenery I see default textures in an area west of Gent, as mentioned also by other users earlier in this thread. In the east there are three gray areas (north of EHBK, at Vaals and along the Belgian-German border).

Upon checking the rar-files I found they had the following content:

Part 1 Belgium 2012 scenery 94 files

texture 19.428 files

Readme.txt

Brussels HD scenery 5 files

texture 601 files

Readme.txt

Part 2 Belgium 2012 scenery 54 files

texture 19.428 files

Brussels HD scenery 5 files

texture 601 files

Part 3 Belgium 2012 scenery 0 files

texture 0 files

Brussels HD scenery 3 files

texture 601 files

I couldn't detect any AFCAD-files in the archives.

Is this as it should be or are the archives corrupted?

You are absolutely right !

My apologies.

Something went wrong when making the RAR files.

Hi, I'm a little confused. I downloaded 3 files

Project Belgium 2012.part1.rar contains Belgium 2012/Scenery

Project Belgium 2012.part2.rar contains Belgium 2012/Scenery, Belgium 2012/texture and Brussels HD/scenery

Project Belgium 2012.part3.rar contains Brussels HD/scenery and Brussels HD/texture

this gave me 2 files of exactly 1.953.126 Kb and one file of 88.531 Kb

part 1 I extracted with Filzip with no problem and it gave me 19.523 files in Belgium 2012 and 3 files in Brussels HD (+ a readme file)

Part 2 and part 3 I was unable to extract. Although in Filzip I could see all the files were there the extract just didn't work.

Any idea what may be different in those files to cause them to do this?

Also, do I need to extract then into a different folder or into the same folders as in part1 ? If I point to the same folder Filzip asks me if I want to overwrite the existing folder.

Thanks in advance for any help...

You have to select all RAR files at once and then unpack them as one file.

Just tried 7z and this time all 3 files were extracted but for part2 and part3 I got errors as shown below:

in part2:

wrong data in file 'Belgium_2012\scenery\Area_Lp2_SnapOff_N050404356_N050251297_E004114159_E004322085.bgl' file is corrupted. This file appears in the scenery folder with size 0.

CRC fail in file 'Brussels HD\scenery\Area_Lp1_SnapOff_N050580708_N050501251_E004105092_E004223171.bgl' file is corrupted. This file appears in the scenery folder with size 72.163 Kb

in part3:

wrong data in file 'Brussels HD\scenery\Area_Lp1_SnapOff_N050580708_N050501251_E004105092_E004223171.bgl' file is corrupted. This is the same file that was reported as CRC fail in part2 and here it appears in the scenery folder with size 0.

In part3 there is a Belgium_2012\scenery and \texture folder but both are empty.

Not sure if these will cause any problems. If they could, maybe we can have these files separately as they are relatively small ?

Sorry to ask ( :( ) but since I'm not yet very experienced with these installations I'd like to check if I understand correctly:

I should create 2 folders called Belgium 2012 and Brussels HD each containing a scenery and a texture folder. The Belgium 2012\scenery folder should containall the .bgl files from the Belgium 2012\scenery folders in parts 1,2 and 3. The Belgium 2012\texture folder all the .agn and .bmp files from the Belgium 2012\texture folders in parts 1,2 and 3.

The same for the Brussels HD\scenery and Brussels HD\texture folders. Then I will add these to the library in the usual way.

I also downloaded the AFCAD files which give a Belgie2012 afcads\scenery folder containing .bgl files. Should these be kept separately and added to the scenery library or are they to be added to one of the other scenery folders of Brussels HD or Belgium 2012 ?

Sorry again for the bother but I do look forward to enjoying this scenery.

Thanks a lot Gerard, just saw your reply. I should have remembered that I have to select all the RAR files at once but I don't do it very often so I forgot. See my previous post about some errors I got when using 7z. I will try FileZilla again and see if that still gives me these errors, but I would really appreciate help witht the questions I have about how to install the files.

Hi Gerard, must have been very tired yesterday evening as I see I wrote some nonsense. I meant FilZip and not Filezilla, of course. Filzip is too old and doesn't work well on multiple rar files. 7z seems to be OK and this time when I selected all 3 files the unpacking went well with no errors and created just 2 folders containing each a scenery and a texture folder. So the only remaining question is to know if I leave the afcad folder separate and add it to the library like the other 2

I'm currently flying around over Belgium and so far everything looks absolutely great. I had already the Megascenery Brussels installed as well as the AEHDX airpot enhancer. Doesn't seem to be any conflict. Thanks a lot to all involved in this project. Kudos to you! :clapping:

Just put the Afcad files into the Belgium /scenery folder

Hello

Even with Belgium below Netherland in the scenery library I have gray areas along the German border, e.g. at position N50° 33'/E6° 21'

Hello

Is it possible to have a download just with the missing textures? This would be great.

Hello everybody

Please can nobody help me for the grey zones? It's a great pity to have these grey zones with a beautiful scenery like Belgium. What I have to do that these grey areas disappear? Or is it something I don't understand correctly? I am not an expert in installation of sceneries.

I've just downloaded the three rar.files (part 1/2/3) and unzipped the files with WinRar. Then I moved the folders Belgium 2012 and Brussels HD in the Addon Scenery folder to my FSX and activated them in the scenery library. The Brussels HD folder is placed above the Belgium 2012 folder and the two Belgium folders are placed below Netherland.

I would really be grateful, if somebody could help me or at least give me a response.

Regards, Heinz

Dirk,

For the gray areas,i think you have also the NL2000 scenery, move the Belgium 2012 scenery in the scenery library below the NL2000 scenery and the gray Areas are gone,by me.

In this up load there are no AFCAD they are in the previous up load.

Your download is not corrupted.

I have in the Belgium 2012 scenery 93 files and south of the border of Zeeuws Vlaanderen there is a small part of the scenery missing, there is the standard FSX scenery.

If you want the AFCAD send me a PM with your e-mail address and i send it to you it's only 120 kb.

Jan.

Hello Jan,

I have the grey areas when Belgium 2012 has a lower priority than NL2000 as well as when Belgium 2012 is the only scenery addon activated. I still had the afcad files from an earlier download. Thanks for your offer!

Dirk

Hello

When the Belgium 2012 folder in the scenery library is above NL2000 in my FSX, I have four grey areas:

A big one at latitude N50°57.36 and longitude E5°48.54

two small areas at latitude N50°47.57 and longitude E*6°1.25 and

a big one at latitude N50°33.53 and longitude E6°21.49

When I place the Belgium 2012 folder below NL2000 the first big one area at latitude N50°57.36 and longitude E5°48.54 disappears, but the three other are still in place.

Regards, Heinz

Hi Gerard,

I've downloaded your mavellous "Belgium 2012" photo scenery from the 'sendspace.com' links of CoolP.

Everything works fine and and I'd like to say THANK YOU for that stunning job :clapping: . GREAT !!!

One question concerning the included autogen in this download:

I'm not shure which of the free versions of "autogen for belgium" are included in that dowload  ?

I guess, that the included autogen is identical with your free autogen download found on AVSIM

(Belgium 2012 Trees by Aime Leclercq and Gerard Salden, AVSIM-ID: 170244)...

Is that right ??

I've additionally downloaded the following AVSIM packages:

  1. Belgium, The West Flanders - autogen V1 of Dominique Dziedziczak (AVSIM-ID: 169246)
  2. BELGIUM Autogen buildings and vegetation of Dominique Dziedziczak (AVSIM-ID: 170455)

After unpacking this stuff, I've added it to the appropriate texture folder of your scenery.

I didn't have to "overwrite" any files, so I guess that his stuff is additional ?!

Furthermore, when I fly through your scenery, I can't find any faults caused by "wrong autogen"...

So, would you recommend to add this 2 packages of autogen to your scenery ?

Thanks for you reply in advance B)

Regards

uenue
