Battery Test on the QOSII?

Recommended Posts

Hi to all,

The 747-checklist contains a battery check item. In the legacy versions this was accomplished by moving the standby power selector from auto to bat to charge the battery which triggered a "battery discharging" message on the EICAS. However, in the new version this message does not appear. What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.

Best regards

Maik Berchtold

What checklist shows that? That is not normally a crew function to check that.

Are you getting discharge indications on the status page for the Main and APU Battery?

I do get discharge indications on the status page and 2 EICAS messages, BAT DISCH MAIN and BAT DISCH APU.

It does take some time, about 1 minute, for those to generate, did you give it enough time?
