X-Plane 11.01r1 is now out

Recommended Posts

Release Notes: X-Plane 11.01 is a bug-fix patch and minor update to X-Plane 11.00. Linux users can use this version with the DVD as their DRM. Key fixes were made to the lighting model, the FMS for plugin use, and the default aircraft.

Is this REALLY an official release? It's called 11.01RC1 not R1, and checking for updates without the "beta" checkbox checked does not update anything.

Thanks for the heads up Arwen.  Since this is a RC release, we need to have the beta checkbox checked, in order to take advantage of the improvements and fixes.  I see no issue using it as it's made things a little better now.  Doesn't hurt to stay up to date.

So if I check the beta box, and for whatever reason there is a problem with the release, can I run the update again without the box checked to allow me to go back to 11.0?

Technically speaking this is a RC1B1, according to the website I got my information from:

Here is a short video of the new LFPG - Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Not bad for "default scenery", not bad at all 😉
