Has anyone chnaged to 381.89? I read at FSElite that they said it was supposed to have fixed VAS issues and leaks.  Anyone have any thoughts on this or tested it?  I'm still using 376.33 on a GTX980.

So you'd recommend it for my GTX980?

Should be ok for any card, there's no negative reports about this one. I installed it Today after reading about in FSL forums. Tested it and works great

HA!  Beleive that when I see it.

Easy way for me to check with my usual CYUL>CYYZ with scenery addons whereby I hit VAS outtage in P3D.

Will let you know.

Fsuip can add a vas usage count at the top of the sim.

Looking forward to your results Boomer.   I have the driver downloaded and ready but want to hold off till people smarter than me on this weigh in with real experience.  I saw some people had graphs where they measured VAS, it was FSElite.

Also, since it's been a while since I upgraded a video driver and I use NVI do I have to do anything special with NVI?  Don't I have to same the NVI settings somewhere?

Thanks.

Add me to the list interested in testing VAS results.  I was of the perhaps mistaken impression that the GPU used VRAM except for a shader cache and that can be turned off from any versions control panel.  The shader cache savings is at most maybe 200 MB.

It will be very interesting if Chris has results that conflict with my limited understanding of the differences between VAS and VRAM.

Yes, just export your profile before you update There is a button for that at the top of the Inspector. Re-import the file you saved after the update.

PS. By "same," I assume you mean "save."

Thanks, and yes, my mistake, I meant to say save.

Fixed vas leak in fsx steam for me, make sure after installing you setup Nvidia Inspector again and to turn OFF shadercache it likes to flip it back to ON after each driver install. - David Lee
