EHSI Primary/Secondary Sync

I've noticed about 1 out of every 4 flights while entering my flight plan on the ground that my heading on the primary and steam secondary will fall "out of sync."

Has anyone encountered this and overcome it? It makes flying by headings quite the chore because it's essentially 100 degrees to the right.

What am I looking at?

If the gyro is off, does the "D" key fix it?

Wow... just wow. Something so simple has stumped me for the better part of a month. That fixed it.

I swear, Bert, I think I owe you for about 95% of the fun I've had with FSX and FSEconomy over the past year.

Thanks, that was it apparently. No idea why that was problematic, sometimes on that particular aircraft.
