I think a healthy dose of skepticism is in order, remembering how the launch of DTG Flight School went. Still, it's very exciting news, and it will be interesting to see how it compares with XP11, P3D and AFS2.

I agree, and I had Train Sim for a couple of years, and finally gave up with products that were not completely functional and were never fixed.

So, what exactly is new about it? Is it 64bit? What do we know?

The preview itself is far better than the previews for Flight School were. That does of course tell very little about the product itself, but it might be a hint that they've upped their game.

"Moving things forward"? Really? With the same old ORBX scenery files and a couple of GA aircraft?

The trailer shows NOTHING that we don't have already...

Again. A lot of marketing hype and hot air, minus the WOW effect.

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Interesting news, to say the least.  But note that the video commentary described this as a release to "early access."  That's great if it means community feedback will help shape the program.  But expect the first version to be more of an open beta than a finished product.

Seeing that same old landclass scenery was enough for me. Not interested.
