Virtual Cockpit

Recommended Posts

Following is copied and pasted from PMDG website: This product uses a full virtual cockpit and does not include 2D panels. (Some pop-up functions avail.)....so 747-400 v3 works in virtual cockpit only, no 2D cockpit. When I select virtual cockpit in 747-400x, graphics are nowhere as sharp as 2D cockpit!!! is it the same in 747-400 v3?

I have never seen a VC be as sharp as a 2D cockpit panel unless you zoom in fairly close.

Personally I think the VC in the new 747 looks pretty sharp. Why don't you watch some YouTube video on the new 747 or look at the VC screen shots on the prodcut page, then you can get an idea for yourself if it looks sharp enough. Personally I've always hated 2D panels anyway. The new VC in v3 also includes new motion effects for turbulence, ground roll and other stuff which you can't get in a 2D panel.
