How to setup second monitor?

Recommended Posts

I just installed the demo to have a look at the new X-Plane 11, but I cant find how to setup my second monitor.

I've got a top/bottom configuration, with a full cockpit with outside view on the top monitor and main panel/basic-6 view on the bottom monitor, but everytime I activate the second window to adjust the view on the bottom monitor, the view on the top monitor keeps moving allong. The same goes for panning. When the upper window is active and I pan around, the bottom view keeps moving allong.

How do I stop the second window from moving allong, so I can setup my panel view like I need it and make sure it stays that way?

Cheers!

Maarten

I think you will have to set both windows to full screen.

I've been trugling through the manual (that was awful, it's almost like reading a cosumer.manual for a VCR), but I cant find anything that explains how to do this.

Shouldnt any view be undockable? This should be as simple as creating a new view, undock and set up and as long as I stick to the main window being active, the second window should stay as is when panning the main window...

I tried full screen, I tried windowed, but that doesnt seem to make any difference.

Cheers!

This is not possible in X-Plane. Only the FMC, the GNS430 and the Moving Map can be undocked into new windows.

I too am currently trying to figure this out. I want to use a android tablet or surface pro 4 to interact with aerobasks gtn750, I own the panthera and eclipse. This is the last piece of the puzzle to create my flight experience. Frustrated. How hard would it be for me\aerobasks make an app to make this functional?

At the moment quite hard, because neither X-Plane nor SASL allow such things yet.
