Price. The rest is just perfect.

Also, charging twice for the exact same product in a different window (GTN650) is sort of PMDG-ish and really shouldn't happen.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

You might want to wait for the Reality XP GTN 750/650 for Prepar3D, it may be a cheaper option compared to the Flight1 package.

Cheers, Bert

Hi Folks,

Yeah - wish it had weather like the real deal...

Price - $120.00 for both 650/750 (P3D) is painful and obnoxious when you know F1 benefits greatly from the bulk of coding done by Garmin in the GTN Trainer itself and released for Free... As stated the 650 and 750 is the same product in a little different wrapper which also hurts... Hopefully RXP breeds a little competition which benefits the consumer as it's certainly needed...

Other than that - works pretty darn good all around - never noticed any FPS hit...

Regards,

Scott

The F1 GTN, to me is the gold standard of GPS units, Never fly without it, and you can use it on pretty much any aircraft, either built into the panel with some aircraft or as a 2 D popup. For the use I get out of it, it was an inexpensive investment.

Price. Only that.

FPS hit?

Close to zero.

Relationship with autopilot?

Works 100%, except some very specific cases, for example errors in some versions, always timely fixed by Flight1.

Conclusion. If price is no problem for you, then buy it.  You will not want to fly without anymore.

One important thing you should consider, however.

DTG is going to release a new early access FSX version with 64-bit in few days. Lockheed Martin is also rumoured to release P3Dv4 soon. So far, there are no clear indications from Flight1 about if and to which extent they will support these new platforms. Too soon to tell. Maybe you could consider waiting some weeks and get some basic information before making your purchase decision.
Just my friendly advice.

is the F1 GTN750 capable for faster aircraft such as learjet35a or phenom 300?

Yep works fine.  I've got two installed in the Flysimware Lear.

Hi Folks,

Ditto with the Flysimware Lear 35A - although single unit - tested with the new version (2.9) of the plane over the weekend and it's a match made in heaven... Flew a bunch of GPS Approaches complete with procedure turns and holds...

That lear and the GTN is an amazing combination. Makes you forget even the Citation X.

Has anyone tried the RXP GTNs in X-Plane and the Flight 1 GTNs in FSX/P3D that can offer any comparisons?

They are fantastic units; but I'd say that the #1 negative is that you can't automatically crossfill flightplans between GTNs (even though they've been promising it as an upgrade for nearly 3 years now).
