Come on LM, Show us Some Love Here...When's it Gonna Be?

Recommended Posts

We should be pretty close as all the developers seem to be holding back their stuff.. And I have held back my money too since some months.

I see a few addons here and there, but nothing compared to the rate of release a few months ago.  My hope is that they're developing 64bit stuff that will be released soon after v4...again, this is just may fantasy.

Remember, if v4 is 64bit, most addons are going to have to be converted which will take some time.

Call me crazy but I think developers have had V4 for some time now so that they can re'invent' their software to run in a 64 bit environment.

On another note - I believe P3D V4 will release on or after Flight Sim Con in June. LM have been prepping their website and it would appear release or announcement is imminent.

They have to offer something to get people to make the move from Version 3.4 which is running quite well, to Version 4. One way would be for them to claim that all major add on's are already working, then many will opt for V4. If that is not the case, I am betting it will be a slow trickle of people that will jump on board, when it is released, which I am sure LM does not want to see happen.

Virtuali said something on the forum as for the delay to a gsx update for reasons he cannot talk about, I assume that means an updated p3d. There is one consistent and that is Pete the fsupic developer always goes on vacation right before release.

Very true! The only reason I do not have V3 is because it is 32 bit, when V4 is announced, I can almost guarantee that it will be 64 bit therefor making me a day one customer, however - if they do not provide a 64 bit platform and stay with 32 bit then they will likely not sell V4 so well as they were hoping to, but that is highly unlikely at this stage.
