Too many things lacking in X plane for me. Just my opinion, YMMV.

Agreed, that's why I said I was hoping Prepar3d could be improved with better lighting and autogen distance

Jeez....is everyone so touchy about being a fan of one sim or another? can't we have and enjoy both?

Because XPlane 11 doesn't run well with my SLI config (I tried it) I'm not interested.  Those shots are beautiful, but if I have to update hardware for it, forget it.

Xplane does lack many things that I appreciate in P3D, but the lighting to me represents what we see in the real world.  I hope that v4 reproduces similar effects.

Since this is the Prepar3D Forum and we are discussing Prepar3D Version 4, I have hidden the inevitable XP posts. If you wish to discuss the merits of XP, please use our excellent XP forums.

Thanx,

Is it actually possible to do that with the P3D/FSX engine, or is the tech too old?

Well at least it (v4) is now officially announced and releasing next week.
