B777 activating TO/GA

Hi,

Is it normal that immediately with switching ON a Flight Director (either left or right) the FMA displays TOGA in the pitch and roll mode? I never noticed it before and maybe after I installed a new  joystick, something is not quite right with the key assignments. The key assignment in FSX-SE is: "CTRL + SHIFT + G", which I assigned a button on the throttle control (Saitek X52 Pro). However, in FSX also the next line: "V" is programmed and has the same joystick key assigned.

I usually used TOGAthe following way: takeoff roll, engines stabilized at 50%, engage TOGA, full throttle.

Yes it is normal. Have a look at the FCOMv2 page 4.10.3 (pdf p299) to have more details about how the FDs work.
