Interesting Video

Recommended Posts

Good video. I don't think people understand the software development aspects. The programmer and QA guys point out this is a late alpha/early beta. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy this right now. I'm not buying it right now but I hope it succeeds.

If only the rest of the community (including myself) could be more open minded and cool headed as the three simmers in the video. Thanks to DTG I was able to get back into FSX...my disc version was unusable but thanks to the Steam Edition of FSX I was able to sim again.

I do hope FSW is successful. I hope that DTG and the community (devs and simmers) can have constructive, open communication and resolve any issues they may have to help the platform grow.

Train Sim World is no longer early-access;

Yes your right. For some reason I thought it was EA :) More like Beta I suppose. What you posted pretty well sums up my thoughts on the FSW release. The flight sim community can be very unforgiving, and I hope they see that their timing was way out.

I did a flight over Vancouver yesterday, and the scene was quite breath taking, with the city autogen. I think FSW will be a winner, as long as they proceed, processing the feedback, and communicating with the community.

Carbonbasedlifeform,

I thought I had addressed LMs predicted response with the following.  "LM now know exactly what they are up against (not that they will acknowledge caring because it is a "different" target audience)"  I apologise if I did not make this clear enough. You are quite right though.

LM make a lot of things apart from military planes. P3D (software) is just one of them and, I might add, a very minor one.

I further do not know where I mentioned hardcore simmers and/or EULAs but will leave that one alone.

I simply was querying the methodology of DTG with this release and had no intention of creating controversy or argument. This is a debate not a fight.

Regards and thanks for your response

It wasn't necessarily aimed at you, but I'm not going to comment further because we're not allowed to discuss EULAs. I probably shouldn't have brought it up.
