There was nothing in the video that convinced me to change. The VC rain looks non-exsitent compared to FS9. And the same wahsed out cartoon textures remain unchanged from FSX days.

64 bits of boring sameness. Yikes.

Be nice to see what FSW brings

On the First Look Video posted it was suggest that for LOD resolution 16GB of "VRAM" is recommended for best results.

In V3 my 6gb original GTX Titan barely uses more than 2.7Gb.  That could portend major changes in how video ram is used.

Does anyone know if it will be possible to have both versions of P3D installed? (3.4 and 4.0)

I'd like to know as well. When v3 came out I kept v2.5 installed along side for a period of time, just in case. Don't recall any issues.  We will have to wait and see.

I must say, as excited as I am about v4, considering its been an extremely long wait for 64bit, I can't help but feel anxious about reinstalling, re-configuring, remapping keys etc. What will be the new and time consuming issues to crop up? Typical pre-revision update jitters. Wish LM would simply release now so I can get this over with.

As far as P3D is concerned V4 and V3 can happily coexist. Various add ons might possibly have a problem only allowing one to be used at a time.

Does anyone know if the dynamic lighting feature includes light reflection off clouds (flying thru them.. strobes, landing lights. etc)?

I just bought V3, so I requested a refund and will purchase V4 from day 1.

Was thinking of keeping V3 installation parallel with V4, but for now I don't know if addons will work when both sims are installed, and most important thing the addons that I want to have will be available from day 1 and/or within days (ORBX,PMDG,FSLABs,Chaseplane,AS16 ASCA, ENVTEX...). So I will jump right into the new one.

Indeed it would. It seems to have a horrible blurries and lack of antogen problem just outside the radius of the aircraft it seems. I'm not swayed either way at this stage.

For more information consult the Aerosoft official forum.

Not just P3D v4, but the mythical Aerosoft CRJ?  Not going to click on the link; I fear it will just be a RickRoll video…

FSW's demise will be the Steam platform. People just aren't ready to go that way, this is not a game like DOOM or GTA, it has to be open and more friendly to the developers (talking about the insane fees here).
