EZDOK v2 or Chaseplane for P3D v4?

Recommended Posts

I was currently using EZDok 1.18 i believe it was with P3D v3 previously, but now that P3D v4 is here I'm not sure whether to upgrade to EZDok v2 or switch to Chaseplane. Need your opinions on which would be the better one for the new 64bit platform.

I've used both extensively. My opinion is ChasePlane is far superior and gets much more support from the developer. Also works with v4 as-is. No brainer.

I suggest watching some YouTube comparisons.

EZYDOK V2 is not V4 ready, and it could be sometime, and  might have an update fee ( Not Confirmed.) Opus Cameras waiting for FSUIPC, and Chase Plan is ready to go. If your in a hurray, go for Chase Plane.

Been using Chaseplane for a very long time. So far very happy with it. The developer updates it very regularly and listens to users comments and suggestions. No doubt it will be one of the best softwares available for simmers.

Sometimes it cause trouble when updating to a newer version, but if anything goes wrong the developer will fix it right away, I've never seen a problem more than a day.

I'd be quite happy if the previous EZdok 1.185 worked in P3D v4.  Anyone install that and got it to work?

Which version of ChasePlane are you all referring to? When I look at their site, only an Alpha version is avaialble. I am hesitant to fork out +/- $40 for an alpha version. I cannot find an older version available for purchase.

Yes, that's the one. It works flawlessly. And you can choose to opt out of "experimental" updates, which happen almost daily.

Do not fear this software.

While they say it is an Alpha version, I have been using it for a couple of months now and have had very few issues with it, and what I did have was very minor. IMHO, it is vastly superior to EZDOK, which used to annoy the heck out of me on a regular basis. Chaseplane is updated on an almost daily basis with bug fixes and new features, and buying in to the Alpha also gets you a copy of the release version when it is finally deemed ready for prime time. Can't lose!
