V4 Frame Rates - Strange Behavior

Recommended Posts

Please, do the following ...

Choose Beech King Air go to KSEA RW 34R (VC) save the flight situation as whatever you like. Close P3Dv4.

Open P3Dv4 and go for your just saved situation. Check fps. (2x shift+z)

Open graphics/display menu, DO NOTHING, close the menu with "ok". Watch your fps.

- Im my case I got a decrease from 50 fps to 34 fps ! Very strange. This is reproducible for me. P3d runs with moderate settings (fps unlimited), no addons, no tweaks.

I have no idea what's the reason for this dramatic frame rate loss, but I can't believe that it is supposed to work like that.

Hi Harry,

I did exactly what you said and there was zero change to my FPS.  I tried this twice with the same results.  Likely something to do with your specific setup, but I can't know for sure.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, I don't know what to do now. I've seen some related threads concerning massive fps loss and it was suggested to turn HT on. But this is already true in my setup.
