Sure, but this procedure does not handle the crashes that occur afterwards. You should read the whole thread.

I forgot to mention, all fs9 models can easily be identified with a good editor like notepad++. If you open the .mdl you see in the first line this MDL8MDLH, then it's FS9. The FSX looks like MDLXMDLH. I searched for DH-2 amphibian ai, but they all seem to be FS9.
